Important Update Regarding WellMed Insurance Authorization Requirements

Dear Valued Patient,

We are reaching out to inform you of an Important update for all patients with WellMed Insurance.

As the public health emergency comes to an end, please be advised that, effective March 1, 2024 , all patients with WellMed insurance will now require an authorization from their assigned primary care doctor to be seen at Northeast Endocrinology.

Our team is working diligently to request authorizations on behalf of our patients; however, we kindly request your assistance in confirming that this process has been completed by reaching out to your primary care physician. This proactive step will help prevent any potential rescheduling of your follow-up visit. Should authorization from PCP not be received within 3 business days of your scheduled visit, your appointment will be cancelled and rescheduled to the earliest availability once authorization is received.

Should you have any additional questions or concerns regarding this authorization requirement or the status of your authorization, we recommend reaching out directly to your insurance carrier or PCP for further clarification.
